For so many years the favorite of major automakers at international motor show has been the hybrid system. And now the new dawn is upon us and full of electric power.

According to rumors, Audi will be one of those who unveil an electric sports car concept at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. It will take the form of an R8.

This Audi R8 supposedly called the R8 ePerformance. Power is to come from large powerful batteries and an electric motor to drive the wheels, so it will not be a hybrid but a complete electric-powered car.

Imagined this Pininfarina-designed 458 Italia as a topless model. The details of this new 458 Italia has a mid-rear engine Ferrari and the car's sloping rear roof-line does almost demand a Spyder derivative. As you have seen, the image somehow makes the prospect all the more inevitable and literally, renders as it is real.

As what you have discovered here with the recent California model and now unveiling the 458 Italia. Just wondering what other places would make good Ferrari names.

2009 Aston Martin DBS Coupe

Watch out my latest car trend featured here, this is the 2009 DBS. This is considered as 2-door, up to 4-passenger luxury sports car which is available in one trim called the Coupe.

The DBS is equipped with a standard 6.0-liter, V12, 510-horsepower engine that achieves 11-mpg in the city and 17-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard, and a 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is optional.

The 2009 DBS is a carryover from 2008.

4 Door Convertible Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS Supercar

This Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS car concept was hardly created by two Dutch students Emile Pop and Justin de Boer. Despite of its less desirable name, still this concept car has a fantastic look and it was firt full-scale prototype shown off at AutoRAI in Amsterdam, and then quickly transported to Monte Carlo for Top Marques Monaco.

The designers of this concept car put a retachable hard-top which can open or close in just 20 seconds which is built without B-pillars and having a two-tone paint job. This car taken its design from a luxury yachts.

Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS body panels are made from carbon-fiber, and the chassis is built from chrome steel. In the drivers area, are said to be treated to a nice layout of alcantara, aluminum, and carbon-fiber.

In the floorboard area, is said to be made from teak wood, which will look interesting if left unupholstered. Although commonly used on yachts, and thus keeping with the boat motif, a lighter-weight material probably could have been chosen for the floor if some form of carpeting will cover it up.

Other companies lending their assistance to the project includes Eindhoven, Netherlands, based Motion development, who aided with the 3D modelling. Komplot Mechanics supplied the foam moulds, while Rep-air Composites assisted with the body panels. Steel juggernaut Corus provided materials for the chassis.

Both Pop and de Boer expect to produce 20 units of the Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS, at a rate of four annually. They are actively looking for investors, and hope to begin production by 2010.

According to Michael Gauthier, Gemballa Mirage GT Matt Edition released it's photos for this new car edition. If you've ever wondered what a stealth bomber would look like...Gemballa has your answer with the new Mirage GT Matt Edition.

With this Mirage GT Carbon Edition with a different paint job and blue Alcantara interior trimmings, this car features a massive V10 engine with 670 horsepower and 630 Nm of torque. It's performance includes, 0-100 km/h time of 3.7 seconds, a 0-200 km/h (124 mph) time of 9.7 seconds, and a top speed of 335 km/h (208 mph).

Basically, there's no official details have been released, just expect the Matt Edition to be solf in extremely limited numbers of this model.

Hennessey ZR700 Limited Edition with 705hp

According to Michael Gauthier, Hennessey Performance Engineering has unveiled their new Z700 Limited Edition which is based on the 2010 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1.

This Hennessey ZR700 designed to be the ultimate Corvette, which equips the Z700 with an upgraded supercharger, exhaust, and air induction system.

Actually, these modest modifications allow the ZR1's LS9 engine to create 705 hp and 717 lb-ft of torque. In fact, Hennessey also decided to address the ZR1's biggest weakness, the interior.

Option list is said to be the most interesting aspect of the Z700. The typical custom interior and exterior color choices are there with two extreme performance packages.

For 2010, only 24 Z700's will be built and each one comes with a full day of performance driving instructions at Hennessey's Lonestar Motorsports Park.

New Chevy Camaro as Bumble Bee in Transformers 2 2009 Movie

This Chevrolet Camaro concept was a star in the "Transformers 2 The Revenge of the Fallen" movie which we had watched last June 24, 2009. “Camaro is much more than a car; it symbolizes America's spirit and its love affair with the automobile."

Apparently, “Bumblebee” is going to start out as a 1970s Camaro, and then be rebuilt as a 2008/2009 Camaro. Meanwhile, “Starscream” is going to be an F-22 Raptor, and “Optimus Prime” is going to be a fire truck.

Likewise, Bumblebee Camaro is simply gorgeous; the shape that mesmerized on the show stands looks even better in sunlight. Up close, this movie prop is even more impressive, despite plenty of fakery including plastic door handles that are supposed to look like metal and plexiglass side windows that don't roll down. Every piece of the body is perfectly formed, the panels fit to each other with precision and the paint is thick and luminous. It's not a production car, but it could easily pass for one.

BMW X1 with HD Video

It was officially released as confirmed for US during 2011 that BMW X1 has hd video. Known as 2010 BMW X1 SUV.

Since BMW has released its official details of the new X1 SUV (SAV), the smallest X vehicle in the range which is 4.45 metres long, has a wheelbase of 2.76 metres, is 1.545 metres high and the lightest model weighs in at 1,615kg (EU).

Likewise it was designed to have a low-slung rear window to make it look the sporting car that it is, and it features wide wheel arches for an aggressive squat. The signature kidney grille is as bold and muscular as it is on the 7 Series. Standard wheels coming with the range are 17-inch alloys.

In fact, inside the X1 gives an elevated seating position to each passenger while the driver benefits from a driver-facing "surfboard" dashboard that made BMWs of yesteryear so different from their rivals. The new iDrive system is installed and can be mated to a USB port, a CD player, and six Pro Logic 7 HiFi loud speakers. A rear parking camera and/or Park Distance Control can also be specified from the options list.

Unfortunately, six models will be available at launch. Only one of these is petrol-powered and that is the X1 xDrive28i. The rest of the lineup runs on diesel which is starting with the sDrive18d making 143hp (105kW) and 320Nm of torque. Then comes the sDrive20d which produces 177hp (130kW) and 350Nm. Both these RWD vehicles are coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

New Styling and Performance Volkswagen

Upon searching over the net about the cars, I newly find this styling and performance Volkswagen JE Design Scirocco TDI.

This is a German based tuner JE Design which equips the standard 2.0-liter TDI engine with a revised ECU module which boosts the engine's performance from 140 hp (103 kW) to 180 hp (133 kW) and 400 Nm of torque.

When it comes to style, JE Design offers a gull body kit that features a bold front spoiler, side skirts with air inlets, and an aggressive rear skirt. Likewise, other design here also include gull-wing doors, a stainless steel exhaust system with two oval center mounted end pipes, and lowering springs which reduce the ride height by 30mm.
