2010 Ford Shelby GT500

Ford throws a power-party and nobody shows up! In California's Highway 1 Ford's latest Shelby GT500 has eating some preconceived carp. Despite of its carryover architecture and heavy borrowing from last year's GT500 KR, this 2010 Shelby's steering feel, turn-in, and ride/handling balance are dramatically improved. 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 transformation is particularly impressive given the minimal tweaks made to the springs, dampers, and steering as 19-in. tires replaced 18s.

New and Futures Cars: 2010 Land Rover Range Rover

One minor refresh from current-generation Range Rover, and for 2010 it gets another one. In the 2010 Range Rover Sport appear here, along with adaptive dampers and a new Dynamic mode for the Terrain Response System, both of which are in the new Range Rover Sport Supercharged as well.

The new V-8 engine, in standard and supercharged form, was co-developed with Jaguar. Displacing 5.0 liters, it features direct injection and offers a power output of 375 hp (standard) and 510 hp (supercharged). Acceleration times of 7.1 and 5.9 seconds, respectively, are quoted for the 0-to-60-mph run. New, more powerful brakes balance the new, more powerful engines. Some additional safety features making their first Land Rover appearance include a blind-spot warning system, automatic high beams, and pre-collision automatic braking (with adaptive cruise control).

2011 BMW Z2 Concept

These BMW Z2 concept will be built on a modified Z4 platform soon and unlike its bigger brother will only offered with a choice of four cylinders engines with maximum capacity of two liters. The base version of this Z2 will be a 1.8-liter with 150 hp, while a “M” version could be a turbocharged car with an output of around 300 hp. Like previously reported, a hybrid version is also in the works and a M version might also be a possibility.

And later the Z2 will be offered with BMW’s latest technologies, including active steering, dual clutch gearbox and active suspension. The assumed price may be somewhere around the $30k area and the official debut will be made at the end of 2010, with sales to begin in 2011.

c,mm,n considered as the World's First open-source car, revealed at AutoRAI, during the Amsterdam car show. c,mm,n pronounced as "common" which comes from the "Stichting Natuur en Milieu" (The Netherlands Society for Nature and Environment).

The c,mm,n car runs on a fuel cell powered with renewable hydrogen. The energy from the fuel cell is used to power the electric in-wheel motors. These engines can also be used for regenerative braking. c,mm,n aims at a roadworthy concept car on the next Amsterdam motorshow in 2009. The effort now concentrates on developing a web platform to support development and on creating teams that take on development.
